Market Valuations
Independent, professional written market valuations for probate, insurance, direct sales, and auction planning following a site visit.
Delivered by Ian Boulton Stamp Dealer – The Perth Stampman with the care and expertise of 40+ years in philately.

Written & On-Site Assessments
I provide detailed written valuations following an in-person site visit to determine the current market value of your stamp collection. These official documents are specifically formatted for formal legal and financial uses, including insurance placement and probate settlement.
Following assessment, we provide practical, transparent options for either a direct cash sale or preparation for consignment to auction.
Obtaining a written valuation places you under no obligation to sell. However, if you do proceed, you will receive preferential treatment. We will also waive these valuation fees entirely should we purchase the collection following the assessment process.

Existing collectors may nominate Ian Boulton in their estate plans to ensure a collection built with care over a lifetime receives the exact sensitivity, respect, and technical evaluation it deserves.
1
Formal Codicil to Your Will
Executors often know significantly less about stamp collecting than you do. A simple codicil added to your existing will ensures your executors receive prompt and professional assistance. Your solicitor can easily assist you with this addition.
2
Simple Letter of Instruction
Alternatively, you can write a simple, informal “Letter of Instruction”. This should be dated, signed, and preferably witnessed. Keep one copy with your physical collection and lodge another with your solicitor or executor.
Suggested Wording for Your Letter of Instruction
Copy or adapt this template for your personal estate documents:
“Without imposing any legal obligation on my executors or trustee, it is my wish that, after my death, Ian Boulton Stamp Dealer, PO Box 2076, Ellenbrook, WA, 6069 (0414 929 235), be consulted to obtain a valuation of my……stamp collection.”
Rest assured, whatever service you require, I will provide a service based on old-fashioned values of care, friendliness, consideration and sensitivity to the circumstances.
